100 YEARS and counting...

Michael's beloved Grandmother Jacqueline turned 100 years old this summer and our presence was "requested" to be there for the celebration. I'm so glad that we made the effort to be there, because ALL of Michael's siblings, cousins, aunts, uncles and their families were ALL there. It was a great pleasure to meet all of them and be able to play at the beach with all of the extended family. Our boys truly loved the ocean and all it had to offer. Ethan became quite the boogie-boarder, and although he made his mother quite nervous, he was fearless in those big waves. Ryan learned how the waves can sneak up on him and knock him on his butt, but he was intrigued nonetheless. In his exhaustion, however, his OCD tendencies came out and he was frustrated about his "sandy" feet. He often wanted us to wash them off and CARRY him to the towels to rest. His eyes were often bugging him as well, due to us having to dilate his good eye so that his bad eye will get stronger. Despite the 6 hour flight, the 3 hour time change, and a very active week, we built some strong family memories that will not be quickly forgotten. It was a tough week, frustrating at times, but all in all, it was fun to see Hawaii through the eyes of two little boys. Below is a video slideshow of our favorite photos from the week in Honolulu.
